Aramón Cerler is the ski resort of the Benasque Valley and one of the highest in the Aragonese Pyrenees. It’s a few minutes’ drive from Benasque, and the town already has a cable car up to Cerler, finished but not yet open (see below for where things stand).
2026-2027 season
Opening is planned for Friday 27 November 2026 and closing for Sunday 4 April 2027. These are scheduled dates, not confirmed ones: they depend on the snow, so check the official snow report before you go.
Lift passes and season passes
Aramón hasn’t published this season’s day-pass prices yet; they’ll appear on Cerler’s prices page. What’s already on sale:
- 5 flexible days pass: €310 for adults (€62 a day). The days don’t have to be consecutive and are valid at Cerler, Formigal-Panticosa, Javalambre and Valdelinares, this season and next.
- Ski Pirineos season pass: unlimited days at Cerler, Formigal-Panticosa, Javalambre, Valdelinares, Astún and Candanchú. With the early-booking Plan Anticipación, until 19 November, it’s 17% cheaper:

The weekday pass isn’t valid on 7 and 8 December, 28 December to 1 January, 4 to 6 January, 8 and 9 February, or 25 and 26 March. Buying four passes at once (two of them adult) also gets a slightly lower family price. All prices are on the Aramón website.
Cable car from Benasque
The Benasque-Cerler cable car has been finished since May, but it won’t open at the start of the season. In October the town council still had to hire the company that will run it, and the mayor admits that opening in December will be difficult: the aim is for it to run at some point during the 2026-2027 winter, with no set date. For now it isn’t included in the Cerler lift pass either.
Until it opens, you get to the slopes by road: drive up and park at the resort. Our getting there guide has the details.
Technical details
- Altitudes: from 1,500 m to 2,630 m (1,130 m of skiable vertical).
- Pistes: 74 in total — 10 green, 20 blue, 29 red and 15 black.
- Skiable area: 81 km.
- Lifts: 19 — 6 conveyor belts, 4 drag lifts, 6 four-seat chairlifts and 3 six-seat chairlifts, carrying up to 27,966 skiers an hour.
- Snow cannons: 529.
It also has a signposted off-piste itinerary, a snowmobile circuit and a snowpark.
Services at the resort
- Ski schools, with lessons for all levels.
- Equipment rental for ski and snowboard.
- Parking at the resort itself.
- Lockers and ski storage so you don’t have to carry your gear around.
- Snow garden and children’s areas for the little ones.
- Restaurants and cafés on the slopes.
- Repair workshop for equipment.
With kids
Cerler is a good resort for families, with plenty for children who ski and for those who don’t yet. Most of it is at Ampriu (1,900 m), one of the resort’s two bases alongside Cerler 1,500, so you can spend the day there even if everyone in the family is doing something different.
Ampriu Park: sledging without skis
Ampriu Park is the snow play area for non-skiers: a sledging run with its own magic carpet (no dragging the sled back up), a snow carousel and a snowball target game. Sleds are lent for the whole day, and you can’t bring your own. Next to it there’s a bar with a sunny terrace for the parents.
- Opening hours: 10:00 to 16:00, Wednesday to Sunday, from 26 December 2026 to 4 April 2027.
- Ampriu Park pack: adds a ride on the Batisielles chairlift up to 2,200 m, with views of Aneto and Posets, plus snowshoes for the 3 km marked trail across the Llano del Ampriu.
- Prices (2026-2027 season): sledging area €19.50 for adults and €16 for children; the pack, €28.80 and €25; the family pack (2 adults and 2 children), €86. Under-6s go free with a paying adult.
- Ski boots aren’t allowed in the sledging area: bring comfortable footwear.
Book online: cancellation is free until 18:30 the day before.
Snow gardens (ages 1 to 6)
For the youngest there are two snow gardens, one at each of the resort’s bases. They work like a nursery on the snow, by the day or half day:
- Ampriu snow garden: ages 1 to 6 (1-year-olds half a day at most). 9:00 to 17:00 with lunch included, or mornings (9:00–13:00) or afternoons (13:00–17:00). Ski equipment is included; from age 3 the children go out on the snow for a while each morning, weather permitting. Bookings on +34 974 551 047.
- El Molino snow garden: ages 2 to 6, 9:00 to 16:30, also by mornings or afternoons. Bookings on +34 974 551 553.
Places are limited, so book ahead for Christmas, long weekends and Easter.
Learning to ski through play
- Snowy zones: on the Ampriu terrace there’s a snow play area with slides and little huts for children who don’t ski all day yet. At Cota 2,000, the Puentet and Robellóns runs have a game circuit that ends at Snowy Speed, where kids can clock their top speed.
- The Enchanted Forest: a trail through the trees in the Cota 2,000 beginners’ area, with a tunnel and forest animal figures to spot.
- The Snowy hunt: a free treasure hunt on Wednesdays during the season. Pick up the map at Customer Service (Cerler 1,500 or Ampriu 1,900); there’s a prize at the end.
- Ski lessons: more than ten ski schools work at Cerler, with lessons for every level; check minimum ages and children’s courses with them directly.
